Testosterone Propionate: • Androgenic potential: 100 • Anabolic potential: 100 • Chemical names: 1. 4-androsten-3-one-17-beta-ol 2. 17-beta-hydroxy-androst-4-en-3-one • Estrogenic activity: moderate. • Progestogenic activity: low. Description: • Injectable form of testosterone modified by the addition of a propionate ester that confers slower action than testosterone (but is faster than Enanthate and Cypionate, requiring more applications per week). • Older anabolic steroid, considered by some to be obsolete (there are now more convenient esters for less frequent administration). • Use: “Large and rapid gains in strength/mass” Structure: • Modified form of testosterone by the addition of a Propionic Acid at the 17-beta-hydroxyl group. • The less polar form of the esters promotes slower absorption at the site of application. • After absorption, the ester is eliminated from the blood and the free form (active form) is released. • Half-life: approximately two days. Administration: MEN • Clinical use: 25-50 mg, applied 2-3x/week. • Bodybuilding/Sport: 200-400 mg/week (50-100 mg/application). • Use: “large gains in muscle volume and strength.” • Reports say that isolated use “already promotes good gains in mass/strength.” • When used in a cycle (combination): Propionate + 200-400 mg of Boldenone Undecylate; or Primobolan; or Nandrolone Decanoate. Administration: WOMEN • Bodybuilding/Sport: Steroid more widely used than Enanthate and Cypionate (precisely because of the shorter half-life, it has a faster reduction in blood concentrations if it is necessary to stop using it due to adverse effects). • Dosage: 25 mg every 5-7 days, in cycles for a period of 6-8 weeks.
